Production Engineer
Seminole , TX

  Description: 

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, evaluate and enhance well performance and identify flood optimization/expansion opportunities for our tertiary (CO2) project in the Permian Basin. 

Roles/Responsibilities:

Operations Engineering and Management

  • Develop and implement recommendations to optimize production and injection performance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement flood enhancement and/or expansion recommendations.
  • Generate workover procedures and arrange and supervise technical well site operations.
  • Identify and recommend capital budget projects.
  • Serve as a mentor to younger engineers and interns.

Production and Injection Forecasting

  • Generate production projections for recommended well activity and projects using decline curve and volumetric recovery methods.
  • Monitor flood maturity and schedule monthly injection volumes and distribution among cells.   Forecast long-term injection requirements.

 Investment Analysis and Expense Management

  • Perform economic analysis of risk-adjusted production development and acquisition opportunities using PEEP.
  • Monitor property-level financial statements of operating revenues and expenses and maintain partner relations regarding expense and field activity.

 Experience: 

B.S. degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
10+ years of experience in an Exploration and Production environment
Candidates with previous onshore well completion/remedial activities, artificial lift, and well inflow performance preferred
Effective interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills are highly desirable

PRODUCTION ENGINEER

North Texas Location

Salary Commensurate with Skills and Experience

Aggressive North Texas based oil and gas company is seeking two experienced Petroleum Engineers.  

Responsibilities:

·         Evaluate productivity of development drilling wells though log interpretation and formation evaluation.

·         Plan well completions.

·         Provide technical assistance in well production through design and/or analysis of production facilities and methods.

·         Identify and analyze well production problems. Formulate and evaluate solutions.

·         Plan and prepare well workovers, with cost estimates.

·         Recommend, design and plan hydraulic fracture treatments.

·         Provide field personnel with technical support on completion and workover operations.

·         Analyze and recommend optimization for artificial lift systems.

·         Identify and evaluate opportunities for increased or accelerated recovery; make recommendations concerning well disposition or need for further evaluation.

Requirements:

·         Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering.

·         Minimum of 10 years industry experience in completion, workover and production operations.

·         Solid working knowledge with downhole tools and equipment.

·         Strong computer, written and communication skills.

·         Self-starter with positive attitude.

RESERVOIR ENGINEER

North Texas Location

 Responsibilities:

·         Evaluate and understand complex reservoirs through characterization, reservoir modeling, and stimulation.

·         Design and provide economically optimized field development plans to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.

·         Develop reservoir models for improved understanding of reservoir performance.

·         Recommend, acquire and analyze the necessary test data used to define accurate reservoir characterization.

·         Provide monitoring and surveillance programs for reservoir performance, and coordinate these programs to determine if the development plan is conforming to management strategy.

 Requirements:

·         Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering.

·         Minimum of 8 years industry experience in reservoir engineering.

·         Strong computer, written and communication skills.

·         Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent organizational skills.

·         Ability to work in both a team and individual environment.
